Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – BSB42015
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.
They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
This qualification has no formal entry requirement. However, it should be noted that this qualification is not intended to supply operational or technical skills that are used in conjunction with leadership skills.
This qualification assumes that a learner has current or past work experience where operational or technical skills have already been gained and a supervisory, facilitation or similar level of responsibility exists.
Course Mode of Training
Vative Academy’s Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is only available through workplace-based training delivery and may also be delivered through means of a Traineeship. All training and assessment is conducted on-the-job over a face-to-face delivery method.
Students will assist in scoping business improvement projects implementing change and leading a Lean culture within the workplace. Certificate IV level participants will develop leadership skills and an understanding of applying a continuous improvement strategy to achieve operational excellence. Participants will gain intermediate skills of what Lean Six Sigma principles have on offer. Participants will achieve an understanding of the following Lean Six Sigma concepts:
Root Cause Analysis
Value Stream Mapping
5 Why/Fishbone Diagrams
Upon completion, Certificate IV participants who fast develop the natural ability in leadership and will foster benefits in the long run may be upskilled to a Diploma of Leadership and Management or Competitive Systems and Practices and step up to the challenge of leading and planning Lean Six Sigma projects within their organisation./p>
To be awarded Vative Academy’s Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB42015), students must demonstrate competency with a minimum successful outcome of twelve units. Students will work towards achieving tangible outcomes through a series of workplace based activities and assessments in line with implementing group projects aimed to have a significant positive impact on the business and their day-today work processes.
